To be honest I was a bit hesitant to buy this as some of the characters in the photo seem to have the paint on their noses but I have a friend who collects cribs so I thought it would be a fun addition. I was very pleasantly surprised at how good they are, so much so that I bought two more sets, one for my best friend and one for myself. :-)

This Christmas set is absolutely adorable, but one of the three magicians came with a broken horn. The box it comes in is quite thin although the foam is quite thick. I'm also not sure if baby Jesus is meant to look like liquid was spilled on him, although I suspect he was born in a stable, so theoretically it could be a design feature. Return for replacement.

I like the weight of the mugs but I like the religious lettering. My husband, who never worries about such things, found that he didn't think cups should be for everyday use. I agree. So we put them in our souvenir cupboard for display. I would love to buy this item for friends or family as it is more than suitable for a couple celebrating their 50th birthday. Moose Christmas Set? Yes, please! This set is amazing! I bought this to give to a moose lover and was concerned it would look cheap when it arrived. I was concerned that the characters would be poorly formed or carelessly drawn. I was wrong. Each piece is well made and beautifully painted and has character. Even the little calf is cute!
