Extremely weak and incomplete temperature control

I would not buy this again. I returned this one. An 80W heating element is advertised. It offers around 30 watts by my estimates, making PCB repairs almost useless. Also the digital display advertised only 4 different temperatures. It is not continuously adjustable, but offers 4 preset temperatures. Very disappointing. Build quality is good and the silicone grip is great for extended periods of use. However, the lack of capacity and true adjustability makes it impractical.

A good inexpensive soldering iron with adjustable temperature.

So I mainly work with retro game consoles and guitars, so my job is pretty simple. That said, there are times when it's good to be able to heat up since I'm in close proximity to other components of things I need to solder. I have multiple irons and stations, but I need something more precise than just a pen. I've used this a few times so far and it's worked well for me. Only time will tell if it continues to work as promised. But for now this is my iron and I am happy with my purchase. If this

Thermostatically controlled iron for higher temperature lead-free alloys

I was very surprised at how good this iron is for the approximately $16 I paid for it given the 80w power Seems trustworthy given their performance and thermostat controls appear to be fairly accurate. The main problem is that it only shows in Fahrenheit and I haven't found a way to change it to Celsius, which is a bit annoying because I've memorized all the soldering temperatures.
