🔌 Convenient ELEGRP Receptacle Charger for Samsung Android Devices Review

Basically a really great product but if you have excellent hearing you will hear a high pitched squeak when power is applied to the USB ports at around 17kHz. This would be subtle in a busy office or somewhere with background noise, but distracting in a quiet room or bedroom. The design is nice but with only one set of posts for hot and neutral you will need a pigtail if you have other sockets in the series.

I had this hooked up by a licensed electrician while he was doing other jobs around our house. It works well but makes a high-pitched squeak when using the USB ports. I've tried this with both standard USB ports and USB-C ports, as well as iPhone, Macbook, iPad, and other non-Apple devices. The noise is so annoying that I have to remove it and replace it with another product.

Everything is fine on the first day, the charger is amazing. However, I got hit in the face when screwing in the screws during installation. It then appears that the wire screws on the side made contact with my metal socket. So when I installed the other one, I had to run tape all over the socket to insulate the points of contact with the box. I hope they make the device smaller or add a protective case to avoid this. I was lucky that I was wearing safety goggles and gloves when this happened.

They work great. I've used them to charge iPhones, iPads, charging pads, cameras, etc. I have a problem: if you want to use real AC outlets, you have to use a standard plug. It can't be one of the power cables with the big AC/DC converter at the end. If you need to connect one of these, you won't be able to use the charging ports. For example, I had a Revain Echo Show that I wanted to keep in that space. I can plug it in and it will work fine, but then I can't use the charging ports.

These would be great except they only have one hot and one neutral outlet so you can't place them where you have additional outlets that run on the same line (row of outlets) as is in American households almost always the case. This can only be installed at the end of such a row, which will then only provide GFSI protection for that outlet and not for others on the same circuit. I bought 8 pieces and they all work perfectly. Please do not pay an electrician to install. That's a waste of money. I have no electrical knowledge and they were VERY EASY to install. Here are the simple steps: 1) Turn off the main switch. 2) Disconnect the old circuit. 3) Screw the live black wires to the area marked "black". 4) Screw the white wires to the area marked "black". white” and 5) Screw the bare metal wire to the ground area (green). I agree with what others are saying about us being a little difficult to install but that seems to apply to all 'new' tech plugs if we put them in these boxes, which weren't really designed for that. My main issue with them is that the 10pm plugs are REALLY tight and also the faceplate (the part they color change is NOT the bezel but the face of the plug area) pops out super easily.
