Without stand or camera mount, waste. Judging by all the photos of this thing, it's attached to the table with all sorts of gear. What they don't tell you is that there is no tabletop or camera mount option. This item was sent to me from another country, so it is most likely not possible to return it. Build quality is good, but it really annoys me that I have to buy several other products to use this in the classic greedy Elgato style.

This is my second Elgato mount (the other is part of my Key Light). It seems to be built really well. However, the upper collar broke almost immediately on this shoe and I had to send it back. Now that I'm fitting the other one, I'm afraid to loosen it for fear it might break. I bought this to use as a third party DSLR camera mount and pan head. I've weighed both, and per Elgato the hand needs to support both, but they don't. The hinges don't snap and I'm afraid they wear out every time I have to reposition the boom. I've tightened the connections without any tools at all, and I'm concerned that if I overtighten the connections, the latch bolt handles will break. Be careful when buying this flexible arm! This flexible bracket kit barely holds my Samsung Galaxy S10.
