I love weighted blankets but eventually it's time to clean them. Has anyone tried washing from above in the washing machine? Also be careful when drying?

I bought this comforter for my 10 year old daughter and it helps her a lot with her anxiety. The duvet is very soft on the mink side. The beads move across the comforter, putting the weight where it's needed most.

I've never had a weighted comforter before so I wasn't prepared for how heavy it really is. It's hard to take with you everywhere, but it's great. I'm very scared and the blanket is definitely calming. It's like a huge hug. It's also very soft on one side which is an added bonus.

So, disclaimer, this is my first weighted blanket so I wasn't sure what to expect. However, it is very comfortable, especially on the microfiber side than the mink structure side. I think the main thing I didn't expect was a little soreness after using the blanket. Not because of a rash or anything, but because of the weight. In any case, I highly recommend it.

This is an amazing duvet. The first impression exceeded my expectations. The colors are bright. It was easy to wash and tumble dry as instructed. I sleep with this blanket on most nights when I'm scared. I will also use it throughout the day just by placing it on my feet to relieve stress and anxiety. I gave this blanket to my friends and family, everyone loved it.

It's smaller than I expected but I should have read the specs first. It will only fit a person under 5ft 8" - 5ft 9" (my 6ft 0" friend tried it and part of his legs/feet stuck out lol). Let's just say it's a heavy blanket. I got the 15 pounds and it was hard to lift, but once it was on me the weight was evenly distributed. I felt well covered. I don't usually have major sleep disorders, other than some insomnia, and I think it tends to help people stay up at night.
