The internal fittings to screw in the legs are inadequate and do not work. The screws in the legs are metric so off the shelf parts will not fit and my search for the right hardware has been unsuccessful. Since I like this part, I add a stud or alternative legs that screw directly to the existing wood at the corners with three or so wood screws.

The style of this item is very nice and the legs go well at first, but after you put weight on it (even just your legs), the legs will double in size . Noise and then they loosen and you can't screw them back on. If you put this in a corner and never use it it will look fine, but if you plan to use it I'd choose something else.

When I first received this stool I thought it was very good quality! It's a beautiful material. I use it on my dressing table. After a week of use, one leg became very free. My husband had to buy new fixtures to fix it. Then, after a few days, the other legs became loose and would not tighten. My husband has to fix it with new fittings before I can even sit on it.
