Aspen Travel Mug, 16 oz, Speckled Dusty White Review

Love this mug very much. Good size, nice ceramic, comfortable to hold in hand. Two rather minor complaints; There's no vent in the lid so coffee can't come out as well, and it's a bit difficult to sip coffee unless you remove the lid completely. Another thing is that the bottom wooden part is glued and mine is a bit crooked. I don't like it because one of the most appealing things about a mug to me was nice, clean lines, but that didn't get in the way of standing.

This ceramic travel mug is really attractive and durable. I like the mottled body and the bamboo stand on the bottom. This mug stays warm for a while, however I have to reheat my coffee after about 20 minutes and the mug doesn't seem to be microwave safe. The lid is dishwasher safe, but that's about it, and it's definitely not airtight. It's not for the hardcore commuter where you'll be walking. Love the look. Unfortunately, ceramic does not contain heat inside, which makes it difficult to hold and quickly cools the drink. The cup is also a bit heavy so I don't recommend taking it for a walk or any other place where you would care. Due to the wide base design, it's a bit difficult to fit into car cup holders. The lid isn't completely sealed either. I'm not the type to leave bad reviews or return items, but I don't recommend this product. However, I love most Ello products.

I LOVE this mug but the wood base wasn't the best idea. Aesthetically this is the nicest mug I own and it catches my eye when I use it in cafes, but after a month of ownership the wood started to crack and stretched a bit at the bottom. We don't run it through dishwater or leave it in the sink, so I'm not exactly sure what caused the wood to crack - it could be condensation forming, I'm not sure? The lid is capricious too - it's not airtight so it's noticeable leaking if you put it in a pouch…
