Aesthetic Mug - Sports Water Bottles

I LOVE this mug but the wood base wasn't the best idea. Aesthetically this is the nicest mug I own and it catches my eye when I use it in cafes, but after a month of ownership the wood started to crack and stretched a bit at the bottom. We don't run it through dishwater or leave it in the sink, so I'm not exactly sure what caused the wood to crack - it could be condensation forming, I'm not sure? The lid is capricious too - it's not airtight so it's noticeable leaking if you put it in a pouch, and the mouth opening is uncomfortable and only lets a small amount of liquid through. I usually use this without a lid so it doesn't matter, but it would be nice to have a better lid. The extended handle top is also very good! It is comfortable to wear as I can put my thumb on it. Finally, a few baristas commented that it wasn't exactly 16 oz, but I didn't test that myself.
