These are the most beautiful designs. Also, there are a lot of REALLY great ideas out there. Brian Haggard has his own style and I love the way he works. I learned a lot from both of his books. However, his first book is the one he begins with. There are tons of instructions on how to make YOUR basic crazy quilt style. This second book complements the first. I hope he publishes another book. I will definitely order.

I loved and still love his first book so much that I automatically bought this one (his latest) without taking the time to read it and not realizing it NO was manual. project book. These are embroidery designs. Okay, but I bought many of these books years ago that I still have today. I saw the preview photos of the bags featured in it and wanted to make these designs. These are patterns for embroidery. That's great, but damn I didn't take the time to realize that this is NOT a design book. This

I had a mild crafting panic attack flipping through a newly obtained copy of Brian Haggard's Embroidered Memories. As I scrolled through the promising first 20 pages, I stumbled across a shockingly long stretch of black and white drawings (technically more like sepia and cream), beautiful but devoid of text, color and mixed embroidery making me long and sad. swoon like I did over a freshly opened pint of Haagen-Dazs Caramel Cone Ice Cream.
