Ideal for emergencies

I firmly believe that in earthquake prone areas one simply has to be prepared with common sense. I bought it on purpose because it doesn't need batteries. Works well, easy to charge. A good buy for the money.

Pros
  • Technical Support: We offer a lifetime warranty and 100% 7/24 customer support. Please contact us if you encounter any problems during use. We will replace or refund your money as soon as possible.
Cons

Excellent but intelligent

It's great for what it is. I have a feeling some people expected a lot more than they should from something this expensive. Yes, it can charge your phone. If this is your goal, go to the battery. Haha no. It's good for emergencies. Radio and flashlight work. The solar panel and handle will charge the battery, but not in 30 minutes. There will be no solar panel.

Pros
  • Three charging methods: The emergency radio can support solar charging, manual charging and micro USB charging. This solar wireless arm can rotate forward and backward, rotating the arm continuously at 130-150RPM to generate electricity. Solar energy is also great for charging, but it is mainly used to maintain the battery to extend its life. USB charging is the most convenient and fastest way to get power.
Cons
  • Somewhat serviceable

Great and Useful!: Portable Audio & Video

Great! So far it doses what you need! Didn't use it long enough for battery life but hope it's good for emergencies. If the Atena was longer, it might have a better selection of channels. That would be helpful in an emergency. SOS is so loud and the light is bright. Would definitely recommend and buy again. The crank is an impulse in case it cannot be charged with a cable.

Pros
  • 2020 New Design: Based on the 088 version, the updated 088plus weather radio is more practical, more powerful, with larger solar panels and brighter flashlights; With 2000mAh lithium batteries, the emergency solar handheld radio works for a long time; Large handle design is easier to adjust; The power indicator (remaining power) can remind you to charge in time.
Cons
  • Volume

Seems to work fine: Portable Audio Video

It's nice to be able to load without a crank. The radio part goes nice and clear. Not sure how long the internal battery will last because Dorian managed to miss us so we didn't have to use it. We bought it as a 'just in case' item. The instructions state that you get an approximate 2:1 ratio for crank charging, which means you get 1 minute of battery life every 2 minutes after starting. Good enough for getting weather updates on the radio, but I wouldn't attempt to charge a phone with it…

Pros
  • Emergency Support: Emergency weather radio supports tri-band AM/FM and NOAA. Specifically, 7 NOAA channels to get the latest weather news. The built-in 2000 mAh lithium battery provides up to 12 hours of flashlight operation and up to 18 hours of radio playback. It is an essential backup radio for emergencies.
Cons
  • Negative impression
