This is a good quality fan that is easy to install. We bought it for the bedroom and were REALLY disappointed with the noise level. The fan hummed at low speed and didn't work in the bedroom. This would be a great fan for a den or other area where low noise levels are not an issue. We sent the fan back as it was not suitable for the purpose we bought it for.

It replaced another Emerson fan in our master bedroom which broke internally causing it to be unbalanced. I bought this for the price and can be controlled with a wall switch like the one I replaced. The old Emerson fan was at least 20 years old and you can see how the brand has improved in every aspect from installation to operation.
