I ordered an outside fan that only had a 6 inch lower link and needed a longer one. It was one of the few 1/2" lower links I could find. Standard 3/4" and everyone had one like that, like .Home Depot, Lowes. This one was perfect!

Lower shaft listed as 18" x 1" x 1". I assumed that 1" is the diameter of the tube. 1" is the diameter of the cardboard tube it comes in. It's about 3/4" not what I need. Now I'm despairing of trusting any other similar product listing.

This lower shaft is not 1" as advertised. It's a 1/2 inch piece of black iron gas pipe covered in paint. Whoever wrote the description that says it's a 1" thick bottom bar, well they can't read the tape measure because it's 11/16". Also the fact that it was made in China probably explains everything. I put an asterisk because I couldn't choose a negative number. I'm bringing this back because the lower links are usually 1 1/8" pipe.
