I bought it to replace my bottles of apricot scrub that I use all the time to exfoliate. I try to reduce my carbon footprint. Unfortunately, they cannot replace my apricot peeling. They hardly ever come off. Once wet and fully stretched, they get very soft and spongy, which I'm sure some people like, but I bought them for a scrub (after all, that's what the name says). The included suction cup for easier hanging doesn't work at all either. I tried sticking it on both the mirror and the bathtub.

The reason I bought this sponge is the price ($10 for 3 sponges) and a desire to try something new. I usually use a regular sponge to clean my face. I feel this cognac sponge cleans better than a regular sponge (due to its surface texture), although it can't pick up too much water from my face compared to a regular sponge. I always have cognac sponges on hand so I've tried a lot of brands, I'm not loyal. I like them the most because they have a lot of value. They're not as big/soft as the others, but I like them because they dry quicker, get wet quicker (phrasing), and the thin size makes them easier to hold and reach the sides of the nose. I wish I could love them, but they have a slimy film on them that won't go away. It's weird and disgusting to touch. My face was covered with small superficial white pimples (I don't usually get pimples) while using these pads. I used them for about 4 days to make sure they were pads and not something else. As soon as I stopped using them the acne was gone and my skin was back to normal. I was looking for an alternative to a face washcloth. The search continues.
