NOT FOR MECHANICAL FOILS but still great for sensitive, dry or dehydrated skin

I don't usually review highly rated items but I would like to add a point I don't see here: THIS IS NOT A DIRECT REPLACEMENT FOR FACE CRUBS . It is NOT prickly. If you want to replace the scrub, you will not like this product. If you have sensitive, dry or dehydrated skin you will love this sponge, but only in combination with the right products. I bought these sponges on a recommendation to wash my face with mineral oil. I dry foam my face with Albolene and then use a damp konjac sponge to remove this product. I have tried removing Albolene with a tissue or cotton swab as recommended on the container but I can really feel all the micro tears it leaves. The cloth removes most of the product, but even that can leave micro tears. So the konjac sponge is perfect. It's "sticky" so it removes the thick albolene product, but it doesn't scratch in any way. If you have dry or dehydrated sensitive skin, I'd recommend relying on products that chemically exfoliate your skin rather than mechanically (things like an SA wash or a natural fruit enzyme mask might be the way to go). To make sure I remove all of the product afterwards, I highly recommend these sponges because they are so gentle yet effective! A few tips for using and caring for your konjac sponge: 1. It may be helpful to keep a cup by the sink to dampen the sponge while you floss and brush your teeth. These sponges are rock hard when dry and sometimes take a minute to soften. It definitely helps save water instead of holding the sponge under running water! I like to give my sponge a deep clean every 1-2 weeks. To do this, soak the sponge in hot water for 10 minutes. You will literally see all the oils floating to the surface of the water. I usually boil water for tea or whatever and just add the extra water after it cools down a bit. Throw them away after a month or two. Mine have always held up, but I think it's good to start over. If I can clean it regularly, I'll keep it a little longer.
