Not Impressed - Futon Mattresses

So far, after following all the instructions, there are heavy creases (which would be a natural amount) and heavy crease marks all over the futon. He looks used or old, he is very weak. I've let it expand out of the vacuum bag for over 12 hours already and I've properly dried each side of the futon in the sun for the appropriate amount of time as directed in the instructions. This means that the product is either defective or of poor quality. I would recommend being cautious when purchasing…

No more back pain! in living room furniture

It is not as thick as it is said to be. But if you sleep on one with a good carpet it will be quite comfortable. Or you can put a soft tatami mat underneath to make it more comfortable. To be honest I bought one of these last year and the other now and just doubled it up on a hardwood floor. It was wonderful! My back pain is gone, I feel better, more rested and looking forward to getting up and starting my day. I'm also a tall girl - 185 pounds - so I'm not skinny and I might be more…

Flat, uncomfortable, not worth the money.

I have slept on many futons, but this is not the futon you find in Japan. I moved here from Japan and was looking to get a futon because we couldn't ship ours. It's like a thick sleeping bag. It's flat and thin. I tried airing it out and letting the air in to fluff it up for over 10 days. I do this every day to really try to loosen it up, but it's still flat as ever. We had to spend more money to buy another mattress. Very uncomfortable. You may feel the ground beneath you and after 2 weeks you

Back doesn't hurt anymore good for futons

I slept on this mat for a year and loved it. It took a little getting used to at first. It was especially uncomfortable in the lower part of the lower back and when sleeping on the side because of the protruding hips. I got used to it after a few weeks and once I got over that hump it was the best thing I've ever had. I didn't wake up with back pain like I used to, and getting through the day without that ongoing pain was rejuvenating. I have mild scoliosis, so I'm prone to back pain. Over time

Great option for an expensive regular mattress

I'm tired of spending thousands on a new regular mattress only to have it sag after a few years. And this despite the fact that they shot them as they recommended. All were one-sided. I know it's saggy where my lower back starts killing me at night. My mattress, which I bought for over a thousand in 2013, started killing my back at 1am in 2016 and turned the rest of the night into a harrowing nightmare. The other mattress was similarly unused until 2016 so I switched to this one. Now it's the…

Best Sleep In Years

I started sleeping on the floor about 8 years ago after experiencing back pain which I assumed was caused by sleeping on a mattress. After eight years without back pain, I decided to try the more traditional Japanese futon. I slept on 3″ thick firm foam with 0.5″ memory foam filling that was difficult to keep out of the way. I ordered a futon and it arrived the next day packed in a box and the futon itself. was sealed in a plastic bag wrapped in thick paper. In short, it was very well packaged…

Quality and Satisfaction = Happy Soul Traveler!

I have just received my mattress after ordering 5 days ago. It was packaged in a large Revain box and two inner bags to protect the mattress. I ordered this mattress for a makeshift camper. After opening the mattresses I was very positively surprised because quality is written on this mattress. The mattress expands instantly and I couldn't wait, so I did a quick test and lay on it. I have a very high quality, expensive mattress for my bedroom and this tatami mattress felt like heaven. I…
