Like where the power button was placed; That's convenient. Better than lagging behind other brands. The only problem I have is that the front plastic where the blue plastic is, they didn't do it right and broke because it wasn't even in the plastic sleeve. The only complaint I have is that it's really bright, so I had to add something to dim the light, like red tape.

Very sturdy and well made, the aluminum is quite thick and the 3.5" drive fits in very tightly so it doesn't vibrate or move. To install the drive, you must first remove the 2 screws on the back plastic panel and then slide the front of the case. You will see that the tray is attached to the front. I had to use a lot of 'goo-off' product to get rid of any residue - the LEDs are VERY bright in this case.

This product has caused too much disappointment due to accidental disconnection during file transfer. I am using it with WD Blue 1TB HHD - 7200RPM SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache 3.5" - WD10EZEX. I installed this hard drive as a drive on my desktop PC for a while and never had a problem with it, it has always worked flawlessly. Exterior (Aluminum top bottom and sides everything else is cheap PLASTIC The drive is mounted on a PLASTIC frame. There is no contact between the drive and the aluminum case. This means that the aluminum case is this does NOTHING to transfer heat from the drive, no vent holes either. I drilled mine to keep the drive cool. I bought this because of the brand and was disappointed. While the case was aluminum, the shell was thin plastic and there was no direct heat transfer from the drive to the case. I've been using this product for a few weeks now so obviously I don't have any long term data to share. The device looks good and works perfectly so far. The reason I didn't rate it 5 stars is because of the hard drive tray that adapts the hard drive to the case. The tray didn't line up with the screw holes on my hard drive, but I was able to get the screws all the way to the very edge of the slot.
