I bought this because of the brand and was disappointed. While the case was aluminum, the shell was thin plastic and there was no direct heat transfer from the drive to the case. The power button is a "soft" power switch, so it is not possible to turn the device on/off with an extension cord. The button lights up light blue all the time and doesn't turn off when my laptop is off. The worst thing is that disk access is indicated by a blinking big blue button, leaving me distracted while I'm working with a monster-sized blue strobe light in my eyes. Unlike other cases that can be muted with a piece of black tape, there's no way to tape the illuminated button to keep the flash out of my sight. It is obvious that no thought was put into the development of this case.
