Not recommended for 06 Impreza

The front hub was difficult to install but solid and does the job. If you have a 2006 Subaru Impreza I do not recommend ordering this as the rear rubber rests directly on the driveshaft and I had to cut it off. This made it a bit unreliable after installation, but that part doesn't really matter anyway, so I left it out.

Pros
  • good stuff

Fixes shifter up and down play!

Be sure to remove the shifter and shift stabilizer as well as the heat shield for easier operation. Still a little tricky, but it's a good learning experience and a lot of fun if you enjoy doing the work yourself! Make sure you have a press to install the round bushing. I used a ball joint with a clamp and it was pretty easy. An extra hand or two will help or vices.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Some bugs

Sent quickly, it came as in the description.

The item is fine, arrived earlier than expected. Although for the installation and people talk about cutting the round sleeve in half. You don't have to cut anything, you'll just have an impossible time trying to insert it by hand. I sprayed the front hub and stuck it in with a vise, this may take a few minutes. In actual use, however, I didn't feel much of a difference. wrx. But because of the way the bottom link of the derailleur is set up, there really shouldn't be much play.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Some little things

Apparently not for all of you "do it yourself ".

I am an auto mechanic, the installation was easy for me. If you're a DYI type, here's a simple tip. Find a vise for the round sleeve and apply a light coat of silicone grease to seat it. It inserts in seconds. Also make sure you have a tube of silicone grease for the switch ball at the bottom with a clip. I removed the old grease and filled it with new. Also, these jacks help you feel up and down movement, not left to right. If you're tilting left to right, you'll need a gimbal over a round.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Shifts better than new

'05 EJ20. I also replaced the shifter pivot because the bushings were gone. Between replacements, the shifter no longer wobbles when not engaged, shifts are clean and firm. LOVE IT. Don't cut that big sleeve in half to fit in! With a little silicone spray and some creative use of clips, you can insert this suction cup without cutting it like some people do (you can also insert it with a large wing washer on one end and a slightly smaller one on the other end, insert a Thread stud to the center…

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Requires Socket

part works! No, I didn't have to cut the jack in half.

Round entry is difficult to install without a little creativity. No you don't have to cut it in half, it even takes away from the cozy feel this piece has. However, it can be a beast to install. I had to make a spacer out of wood to install with the C clamp. It worked well. However, I spent an hour installing the round jack. (No creative inspiration.) I have photos of the part installed and the device I took. I'll add them later when I take some photos. The last person to work on the hub…

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly
