Description of Enhanced Performance Hourglass Shock Eye Bushing - Energy Suspension 9.8107G - 5/8 Inch

High quality. High performance. Professional products. Hyper-Flex replacement polyurethane components stand up well to contaminants that often destroy rubber and have been engineered to give longer-lasting performance and not compress permanently.

DO NOT INSTALL WRONG

Insert the tire pin into the hub and then insert the tire hub/pin into the shock absorber. THIS IS THE RIGHT WAY. If you try to install the tire pin into the hub after the hub has been hit, the tire pin will not go through without destroying the hub. Insert bushing into bushing, then into shock absorber. After doing this the hard way, I ordered a replacement. As for the product, it is EXCELLENT. I am sure they will take a beating and that is what you want and expect from a PU socket. It's…

  • Great Price

Upgraded with new Bilstein bushings

I have Teraflex rod separators for my XJ. My Bilsteins came with pins and bushings pre-installed. Removing the existing bushing wasn't a big deal, but the stud was badly seated in the bushing. Instead of going about it carefully (not sure if that's possible), it was a worthy exchange. They fit perfectly on both Teraflex BPE and Bilstein 5100. They are slightly wider than Bilstein sockets; Even if you can remove the pin, the Bilstein bushings allow about 1/4" of lateral movement.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Out of style

I bought these because the new Bilstein 5100 shocks I bought for my 1999 Jeep Cherokee had stem pins pre installed. I have RC pin mounts front and rear so I had to modify them to fit. I've had some trouble pressing a tire pin out of an existing hub, even with a 1 ton press. I decided to take a breather and order them. I'm glad I did, the installation went very smoothly with the lube provided and I didn't have to strain to get it done. So far nothing creaks or rattles after a 500 km run. I would

Pros
  • Very good value
Cons
  • Unbelievable price
