I bought two strands for my 14' by 42' patio. These strands are longer than I need so initially I just left the bulbs out of the part I didn't want lit. My plan is to cut off the extra and cap the ends so they won't short out or be exposed. The bulbs are tough, they bounced against the wall several times while I was installing the strands. None broke. The power cord feels sturdy and well made. I like the nail hole just above each light. My wife and I love the light they produce. We have 19 of the

VERY IMPRESSED!: my feedback

I bought these about a month ago 3/2014. Package arrived on time with no issues. It was well packaged so nothing was damaged. The quality of the lights and the string was definitely high end. I've seen some from the local Home Depot and Lowe's around here and it doesn't even compare to those cheap ones. I installed them myself in my pergola and.wow what a

I bought 3 sets of these with the crystal clear 11S14 bulbs. I debated a long time trying to justify the cost (more than double) of getting the set with the Nostalgic/Edison type bulbs but I am happy with the results now that I have set them up on a dimmer. I had these set up on a regular electrical switch to turn them on and off and found them to be too bright for my taste ( I did install them in a zig-zag pattern over a 20X14 courtyard so it may have been over kill). I installed a dimmer…

Great Outdoor Lighting

This product was exactly what we were looking for in our backyard and pool area. It is truly an outdoor product. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that two of the bulbs that shipped with the box did not work. And it wasn't worth the hassle to get replacements. I think you should have the option as to whether or not you want the bulbs. But, if you need good outdoor lighting, this is the product.

and I have to say that I'm very happy with my purchase

Bought two strands of these, and I have to say that I'm very happy with my purchase. The string is very strong and durable (commercial grade), and can be hung without a wire. Took me about 10 minutes to connect these from my house, to a few trees in my backyard using quick links and screw eyes. Packaging was superb (no broken bulbs), and it looks great in my backyard (see photo). It may seem obvious, but wait to screw in the bulbs until after you've hung all of the strings. Also, had a party on…

  • The strings may not be suitable for use in high-traffic areas

What can I say.we love these lights! They are sturdy, the bulbs have not broken and they give our patio a warm glow. They were easy for my husband and myself to hang. Their sturdiness does make them a bit heavy which caused the strands to come unplugged from eachother while they were hanging. Luckily my husband caught it and the strand didn't come crashing to the ground. He had to use black plastic zip ties to make sure the plugs did not come apart from eachother due to the weight and tension…

Very pleased with our purchase.

The quality of this product is very good. The wiring is similar to what you would see of an outdoor extension cable and they are designed to hang through a small hole above each light. With that design, there is no tension on the wiring. The socket's rubber exterior is extra deep, so the bulb creates a seal between itself and the inner socket. We haven't had any issues from bad weather effecting this product. We used these to light up a 20x13 outdoor patio. Running the lights around the…

Great product, be careful with the bulbs.

Excellent product. Only loss of a star is due to the lower quality of the bulbs - very very thin glass. Hold your breath when you're installing them as simply breathing on them can cause them to break. Seriously, wear gloves when you're screwing in the bulbs. Otherwise this is a very good product.

8 years and still going strong

We purchased these in 2014 and hung them over our back deck. Our deck doesn't have a roof and these have been exposed to the elements year round (in GA). The bulbs last a very long time and we haven't had a single issue. Hopefully they're still made with the same quality because it's one of the best online purchases I've made.
