It was so easy to replace! I believe the old one was Hampton Bay and the control knobs didn't work properly. I used the upmiut setting when the box matched the dip switches on the original unit. Pretty standard setup. The handset built into the fan cell phone is quite small. As small or smaller than the original. The controller is connected to a ground wire, one common and one hot.
