🚲 Epessa Bike Rim Tape: Universal Size Rim Strip for 12-27.5" Bicycles - A Pair Included Review

I bought a pack of 4 fabric headband straps. After installing it on a bike the fabric ruined 6 inner tubes in 3 weeks. I removed the fabric lining and installed a smooth, snug fitting, seamless elastic. Problem solved. End of the random apartments. I will only use them in the future. I had a kit before and they lasted 2 years.

I've never seen a rim tape like this before. I think it's a great idea, especially if it's kind of reusable, which I haven't had to test yet. Let's see how long they last over time. When installing, line up the valve hole and poke something through the tape and hole to keep the holes aligned. I'm worried about the durability but we'll see how it goes! Great idea instead of real duct tape if they turn out to be recyclable.

This product caused two flat tires on my rear wheel. After my first tire went flat I didn't really look at the rim tape as it was supposed to last a while. Then when I had a second flat, I installed a new tube on the same day, I decided to check the rim. To my surprise, the rim tape didn't work. The tape was torn exposing the spoke hole on top which cut the spoke hole in my tube. Will definitely not buy this product again. I'll start using more traditional duct tape.

Assembly: I always find it difficult to assemble stretchy items that are slightly smaller than their intended resting places. I'm also a bit slow with tire mounting. Maybe I should have looked for an installation video before trying this. I think I spent 5-10 minutes on the rim. But I put the strips on and centered them.
