Use ls300 for video projectors

See attached photos and videos. On the right is ls300, on the left is ls500, which this review is attached to. Although this projector is almost twice the price of the ls300, the picture quality looks almost the same to the naked eye. In fact I find it looks a bit less sharp and it was very difficult to get the focus right. The only plus point is that the fan is quieter during operation. It also works with the old Epson menu used in most projectors and not Android software. It also doesn't turn

Excellent picture on video projectors

Overall I am very satisfied. Unfortunately, I didn't take a good look at the screen before hanging it and there were a few creases in the bottom left corner. And as it turns out, my wall is a bit "curved" in the middle, not perfectly flat, so I have to remove the hangers from the wall to get them hanging straight. It is very well packed in a large box. The only criticism I have of the installation procedure is that they correctly state that you need two people to hang the screen, but they only…

Great images but terrible user interface

This is a review of the Epson LS500 UST projector. Picture quality isn't the best - bright, sharp, focused with great contrast even without a real screen. I look forward to the late delivery of the ALR screen and can't wait for the improvement. A couple of annoying things - the UI is absolute pit. Using two remotes is just impractical. The settings page looks like it was designed with the Apple IIe (archaic) in the 1980s. Connection options for sound and accessories are also missing. No…

For $4,000 I expected a sharp image.

Cannot focus on all parts of the picture. It's ok for watching movies. However, since a projector is advertised for gamers, this is unacceptable. In many games, the HUD elements are on the corners of the screen and I can't focus on them all at once. I set up the projector correctly with no keystone distortion on a 120 inch screen. I tried reconfiguring LCD panels and concentrated gaming for hours. Based on forum posts I've read online, this seems to be the 'normal' behavior of this projector…

Bright old system. washed colors. Quick Game

The author of this review. Someone who is a video file. I like oversaturated colors like on an OLED TV. I bought an Epson ls300 and the colors were good. The picture wasn't very bright. It's also not a 4k ad, it doesn't have a 4k switch. Sharp but not 4k. So after using ls300. I thought you knew the Epson ls500 is a step up and will be better. nope The colors are washed out. I tried talking to Epson, I calibrated. I don't get a good saturated picture. It looks horrible. I think this projector…
