Brighter than expected

I bought these to replace some old halogen ceiling fans in a house we recently bought. Fans only have a small bulb, so it needs to be bright. I assumed it would be ok to just get the appropriate wattage (equivalent) LED bulbs, but they are much dimmer than the 100w halogen bulbs we had. I will try replacing these bulbs with brighter ones.

No longer works, but I fixed it

This is a good lamp, very bright but I've had issues with the durability. I keep it in the bathroom and it suddenly faded to about 90% after about 8 months or so. I noticed that it periodically brightened as I screwed it in. So I cleaned the threads with a wire brush and everything seems to be working fine now. The sconce it is in is open in the bathroom so moisture could have affected contact.

Blunt The base is too short. Article is too long.

First, the candelabra base is a few mm shorter than my representative halogen bulbs. It did not come into contact with the hot side of the device. So I unplugged the circuit and using a thin pair of needle tips slightly bent the hot side contact deep into the socket. it worked to get light output. Second, this type of lamp is used in ceiling fan lights and this lamp is LONG. At least 3 inches. Too long to easily fit with a glass dome. So I went ahead and made a slight bend in the sheet metal…
