This is a great upgrade to a desk I've had before. I assembled it myself and the instructions were a little unclear in places. Took me about an hour and wasn't in a hurry. I only needed help to move the table to its final location and put the top on it which was heavy. I bought a 75 inch butcher plate from Ikea for about $60. Honestly, this is one of the best purchases I've made lately. I love this thing! For the past few years I've used one of those standing desk tabletops that get the job done but look awful, weigh a ton, and limit usable surface area. I followed a previous reviewer and also went to Home Depot to buy a nearly finished 74" x 39" birch butcher block. I'm so glad I did. I thought about shortening the table, but I have free space for the table. The desk is solid even at my preferred height (I'm 5'11") and my 49" monitor mounts on the rear armrest.
