ideal for small containers.

Really cool! They are good for those who need slightly larger wicks than the votive size. I like to fill my 2 inch square containers with it. But I think it can be increased to 2.5. Very good flame, low-smoke wick lasts. Better ice experience than others and I like the extra 0.5 inches instead of 3 inches which is great for tall narrow goggles like everyone else. Thanks EricX.

  • Wicks
Cons
  • Makes me angry

Cotton core wicks are better for your health

These wicks have a cotton core. They emit very little, if any, soot and burn very cleanly. Zinc wicks give off a lot of soot. They can even start to stink, and I've read that they emit chemicals into the air that you naturally inhale while the candle is burning. Haven't used zinc core candle wicks in years and recently found this seller on Revain. I will order these again.

Pros
  • Wicks
Cons
  • Slightly broken

It's so much fun and creative

Candle making is my new hobby. It's great fun and inspires creativity. To be a little eco-friendly, I wash store-bought spaghetti jars and reuse them for my candles. This is the perfect size for these glasses. I apply glue to the bottom of the wick, glue it in place, tie the top to a pencil and pour the mixture in. Once cool, I detach the pen from the tip, trim the wick by half an inch, and put the lid on. So easy! This is just the right size for me so I will definitely be buying more!

Pros
  • Crafts and Sewing
Cons
  • Electrical outlet required

Burns too much black smoke which ruins candles

Bought these wicks to make candles for the Spring Equinox. They burn with black smoke when lit, leave a thick layer of black dirt in the glass votive holders when lit, and leave a persistent trail of smoke when blown out (two had to be held under running water to stop the smoke. The black one too Wick drips into the candle (we filled with white candles) leaving gray-black smudges on all the candles we made, that's a rookie mistake.
