A definite speed boost!

Update: Worked a few weeks then died. NOT a good product! external usb 2 drive but it is very slow because it is usb 2. Cloning can take up to an hour. I was able to cut my time down to 10 minutes with this great adapter! a new clone from the beginning, but just the file comparison that Carbon Copy Cloner does (on a Mac) can take up to 15 minutes. I can't tell how it will work on Windows, but I suspect it's pretty much the same. All in all a good buy!

not the right choice for me

didn't work for my application and I'm returning it. Not the seller's fault but Seagate Tech Support for advising me to get this cable to use their hard drive.

A significant increase in speed while running.

They seem to work. But both of the cables I got require me to plug and unplug them frequently for my Mac to see the drives, which isn't practical at all. NOT a good product, I received at least two.
