Buy once, last a lifetime.

I don't see why anyone would buy a hammer with a separate handle. The only reason you'll ever need to replace this is if you've lost or misused it.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Great hammer! good for hammers

I bought this hammer because in many places you can no longer find a ball hit. We ordered this to do some mottle on 1/16" sheet metal and it worked so well. The weight was perfect because I didn't feel like I was doing that much work. The quality exceeds all expectations. This hammer will definitely accompany me for the rest of my life.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Check the shape of the hammer.

Weight seems close if not, 32 oz. My main complaint is that the flat side of the hammer is angled rather than flat. I'm not sure if this is an intentional design, but it doesn't seem like a very good impression of an American forged tool. In any case, maybe this imperfection could be useful for my use case; However, when accuracy matters, be sure to check the quality of your hammer.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Deformed handle - manufacturing defect?

Hammer handle/neck was deformed about 10-15 degrees from the head Given the historical quality of this brand I am very surprised that this product passed quality control. I can only assume it was a factory defect. In this case I am very concerned that I paid (and received) full price for what should never have left the factory.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Not bad

These hammers last forever.

No idea why it's rated light. Bought a hammer for the weight we were looking for. It can be easy or difficult. This hammer is balanced for my needs and weighs what I need. I love handles and have had one of these hammers for about 30 years. It's as good as this new one I just bought. I wanted a different one for multiple locations where my tools are.

Pros
  • Power & Hand Tools
Cons
  • Only available in black

Great all purpose hammer

I've been debating what size hammer I need for my job at the auto repair shop. I was reluctant to get 1 piece due to its use and considered a wooden handled hammer. I chose the east wing based on previous experiences with their products and am glad I did. I experience no shock/vibration from it. The bullet end has a slight taper as other reviews have said, but it's not terrible and doesn't bother me.

Pros
  • Hammers
Cons
  • Not sure

Estwing Top Quality

Estwing solid hammers are of a very high quality and although slightly more expensive than most hammers they are well worth the price. The padded grips work well, reducing hand fatigue and the bottom of the grip expands so you can "click" a little as you swing. One-piece construction makes this hammer virtually unbreakable in normal use and has a better balance point than wooden-handled hammers. Also, you don't have to worry about the hammer head coming off this hammer like you would with aโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Hand Tools
Cons
  • Can't remember but there was something
