Christmas Gift - Hand Tool

I bought this for someone as a gift but I did it because I have had my own Estwing hammer for over 12 years and I love the design and look of it. I like the old design a little more but it's close enough. So it's a solid piece of high quality steel with an aerodynamic neck that transitions into a full shaft, housed in a blue, shock absorbing, rubbery plastic handle, you really can't go wrong with this hammer. This hammer is called smooth and has some sort of clear coat all over the steel, but I

Construction - Claw Hammers

Versatile and withstands rough handling. I can't tell you what I've been through with this hammer in commercial construction, but it's withstood everything I could throw (or threw) at it. From framing, formwork, and concrete demolition to finishing, masonry, and even homework, I'm always happy to have this long-handled, smooth-headed, 22-ounce demolition hammer with me. provide agility while delivering a powerful punch. I would also look (in another Estwing hammer) for a straighter and flatterโ€ฆ

Great hammer for hand tools

Estwing is a great hammer. I carried the 28 ounce version of this hammer for many years. As I got older, 22 oz. It's a big size to get away too. Very versatile for many uses. Quality product and good weight for a wide range of products. I would advise anyone doing carpentry or housework to get this straight claw version. It's a lot more versatile for scouting as you can always put a block under the claw to make up for the lack of flex. Crooked claws can be difficult to get into hard-to-reachโ€ฆ
