Enhanced Estwing E6 15SR Ultra Hammer Review

I have several hammers with wooden handles and solid forgings like this one. I had a brother with a 19oz milled face, but I wanted a smooth face for working on projects where bumps show (in case I miss it). These are good, honest working tools. Well made, well balanced hammer! It says they are my 15 oz, but they are a bit heavier than my old 16 oz model. And hammers nails much better. I've been using it framed for a few weeks now and have had no trouble driving size 16d nails. About four good hits will drive them fully, while my old 16oz Claw takes 6 or more and is rougher on your hands as it's not as vibration-dampening as these. I have been a construction worker for many years and have used Estwing hammers since I became a laborer. I still have the same Estwing that I first bought and apart from hand stains and sweat it still looks and works great! I love this new design and I'm sure it will be just as good as the one I'm removing for my collection!
