Fantastic hammer and a great addition to my collection

I have several hammers with wooden handles and solid forgings like this one. I had a brother with a 19oz milled face, but I wanted a smooth face for working on projects where bumps show (in case I miss it). These are good, honest working tools. Not super trendy, no exotic materials. Just good, American-made tools for honest work. I love them and I'm glad I have them. Well made, well balanced hammer! It says they are my 15 oz, but they are a bit heavier than my old 16 oz model. And hammers nails much better. I've been using it framed for a few weeks now and have had no trouble driving size 16d nails. About four good hits will drive them fully, while my old 16oz Claw takes 6 or more and is rougher on your hands as it's not as vibration-dampening as these. User for life! I can't say enough good things about Estwing!

I have been a construction worker for many years and have used Estwing hammers since I became a laborer. I still have the same Estwing that I first bought and apart from hand stains and sweat it still looks and works great! I love this new design and I'm sure it will be just as good as the one I'm removing for my collection! You can't go wrong and if you see people breaking hammers it means they are not hammering or carrying nails, they are not to be moved and abused. I never believe pictures…
