Believe me. for audio and video accessories

I've been in the computer industry (mainframes, PCs, iPads, etc.) for over 50 years and this evolution is the simplest and best.

Pros
  • Rugged design
Cons
  • Clarity

Terrible quality of audio and video accessories

If you put them on a good coaxial cable it will fit tight so you have to push and twist pretty hard. These connectors are actually separate. The cable will push the end out before you can properly install the cable. Extremely bad quality.

Pros
  • Expensive but decent
Cons
  • So far so good

Some of them were a little incompatible

Some of them were a little incompatible in length. Some had to be pre-compressed to fit my coax tool. I also had to use some TLC when clamping to make sure they didn't go sideways and get stuck. Only had to rotate them 180 degrees halfway through the compression.

Pros
  • handy item
Cons
  • Very expensive

Not worth the money at all.

Total bullshit, 1 decent fit out of 10 tries. Compression. I've switched back to a few other connectors and haven't had any issues, so if neither the cable nor my tools lead to a culprit. Look elsewhere and save some money.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Discontinued

Ineffective. Not suitable.

I tried a little harder than the old college and still didn't win. They look good, install easily, but that's about it. I tried a few times to get a good crimp on the RG6 dual shield but they just wouldn't hold. You crimp it, and it comes off instantly without much effort. You have no opportunity to work with it, because when laying and fixing the cable, the plug hangs loose and the cable falls out. I will definitely not buy these again.

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Frequency

My Poor Hands!: Accessories and Accessories

I understand why they are rated so highly. I can only assume I'm doing something wrong, but I don't think so. I've been buying the same Southwire RG6 quad shield cable for years and these connectors are killer for connecting to the cable. I have to press so hard to put them on. They curl well and work well, but by the time I've made about four stitches my hands are toasted. I switched to small plugs, which are much more expensive, but in the end an absolute DREAM. They are SO easy to apply and…
