Had to sift through reviews to find out how to adjust the number of cylinders. This is the manufacturer's responsibility, not the buyer's. Little engine tip: use a diode and activate it from the light generator output. At B&S, most of them use four poles. You get a pulsating direct current for a half cycle. It doesn't matter if they are triggered by a rising or falling edge - at some point it will reset to zero. Set for 8 cylinders.

It seems right, the arrow reacts immediately to changes in speed. The wiring instructions were fairly straightforward, but it wasn't clear how to set the tachometer for the number of engine cylinders. I finally realized that I need to hold down the "set" button on the back of the tachometer until the arrow is set to the sensor's current setting. Then press the button again until the arrow stops at the number or cylinders you have, wait a few seconds and it will set.

For the price and judging from a lot of reviews I didn't have high expectations for this wheelbarrow. To my pleasant surprise, it actually works very well!
