You can ramp up to 4000rpm and turning the pen is like an oil filled gauge. Set your cruising speed at 60 mph and after about 2-1/2-3 miles it will eventually increase to a point that is 400 less rpm than true rpm. verified with a Snap-on Solus scanner. and the backlight? Pretty close to wearing sunglasses at night, seriously! I used the sun visor to block it until I literally took it off the shelf and threw it onto Dallas' central freeway! Didn't expect much for what it's worth.

I installed this in my 85 Dodge D150. The speedometer I received did not have the "Cylinder # Selector" shown in the pictures; It only had a button labeled "Install" on the back. Nothing in the instructions mentions an 'Install' button, so I'm not really looking forward to figuring out how it works.
