Great as expected

Just like the set my mom gave us in 4th grade, they're light, strong and perfect for adding basic math with concrete visualization. Just so you know, they're hollow and won't work if you're thinking of using them on a weight ratio scale (10 blocks don't weigh the same as a block of 10). However, they are perfect for scaling, so you can string them together and they all easily connect to each other. My child loves it when we introduce them to basic math on worksheets.

Variety/Fun Activities

I bought these for my daughter when she was practically in 2nd grade due to Covid. My kindergarten kid also knew how to use blocks. We mainly used them for location assessment. I also use them to practice multiplying now that my daughter is in 3rd grade. I love the action book. I also use blocks for other activities that I find. This is useful for school work or personal use with your own children. These types of blocks can be very expensive, so it was worth it.

Great kit for distance learning!

As a retired teacher-turned-private tutor, I love this basic blockset of 10. Unlike other sets I've seen, there are more than enough flat surfaces, staffs, and individual cubes. While some reviewers have mentioned that they prefer a multi-color set, I prefer a single color. Students must identify each piece by its correct name, not by color. This, in my experience, leads to a quicker understanding of the value of the place and a regrouping. I have no issues with the storage box as others have…

Good pads, terrible box

What I like: - the book is thicker than expected and has great ideas - pads of good quality; They are hollow and therefore light but not flimsy. I can't imagine them breaking without some serious force. This set has a good amount of each size (1, 10, 100, 1000). I would like another unit for 1000 but if that becomes a real problem they will be sold separately. What I don't like: - I was very disappointed that the blocks don't really fit in the storage box that they come in. Seriously, what is…
