Description of πŸ”Œ CableGeeker Braided Shielded Ethernet Cable

High Quality: The additional nylon braided layer is wrapped with multi-strand high-strength cotton mesh, which is stronger and strain resistant. Made of 4 shielded twisted pairs (STP) of copper wire with gold plated contact pins in each RJ45 Connector. This provides great resistance to crosstalk, noise, and interference. High Speed: Cat 7 shielded ethernet cable provides data transmission at speeds up to 10,000 Mbps (10 Gigabit per second) and bandwidth of up to 600 MHz, which supports high-speed data transfer for online gaming and video streaming. High Compatibility:Cat7 cable is compatible with cat5/cat5e/cat6 ethernet cable. Provides universal connectivity for routers/ PCs/ Modems/ switches/ Xbox One/ Xbox 360/PS3/ PS4/ Laptop/ Printers/ Network media players/ NAS/ VoIP phones/ ADSL/ PoE device (less than 12W) and more. High Neatness: A Flat cable design helps improve the look of your home or office. Flat cables are super flexible and can be run under the carpet or bent through corners or into desks. High Standards: The cable is compliant with ANSI/TIA/EIA 568-B, 2-1, with up to 10 Gbps data and meets all proposed CAT-7 Requirements; Supports:10GBASE-T; 1000 BASE-T; 100 BASE-T; 10 BASE-T.

Good performance, good value

I bought several of these cables to replace old (degraded) CAT 5e cables. Since my network is 1 gigabit, there is no noticeable difference in performance between CAT 5e and CAT 7, but I've seen worn shielding on older cables, so I replaced it with the current standard. They appear to be well made, with a thick screen, metal connectors and protection for a small protrusion that always breaks. The braid feels comfortable and makes the cable much nicer. Would buy again.

Pros
  • High standards: cable conforms to ANSI/TIA/EIA 568-B, 2-1, offers data rates up to 10 Gb/s and meets all proposed CAT-7 requirements; Supported: 10GBASE-T; 1000 BAZOV-T; 100 BAZA-T; 10 BASE-T
Cons
  • Not sure

Very good cable for indoor use at full speed of 10 Gbps.

I needed a 100ft cable to connect two computers with a 10GB network adapter in different rooms. I first bought a triple shielded outdoor CAT7 cable as I was concerned about electrical noise interference. The outdoor cable delivered reliable 10G speeds but was very stiff and difficult to install. I also felt that the RJ45 connector was pushing the NIC too hard. After some research I decided on this flat cable because it is shielded. This is much more flexible and easier to route. The braided…

Pros
  • High Speed: Category 7 shielded Ethernet cable delivers data rates of up to 10,000 Mbps (10 gigabits per second) and up to 600 MHz bandwidth to support high-speed Internet data transfers. Games and streaming videos.
Cons
  • Long delivery

High quality cable but wrong connection

Cable is good, strong jacket, good flexibility, well shielded connectors. The problem with this cable is that the cable contains split pairs on pins 4-5 and 7-8. My cable tester found the problem and I ordered a replacement cable. The replacement cable has the exact same problem. A split pair will cause a high level of crosstalk on both affected pairs. A regular cable continuity test will show that all pins are properly connected since the same mistake was made on both ends of the cable. In…

Pros
  • Super tidy: The flat cable design improves the look of your home or office. Flat cables are very flexible and can be routed under carpets or bent over corners or tables
Cons
  • Slightly torn
