Can't comment on how well it holds cameras or anything as it was so stiff I couldn't move it. Processed the return the same day I received it. I don't know why "strong" means "tough" in these people's minds. There's a reason people look for gooseneck bindings and that's FLEXIBILITY.

Holds the camera well enough but the clip is poorly made. It doesn't grip very well and broke after a few weeks of use. I use this to hold the top camera on my lathe and it has only been moved a few times. The clip broke just a day after being attached for a few days. Look for something else that might last longer.

Two parts that are very important to proper operation broke very easily. The retractable eccentric's clips broke off as soon as they touched the protrusions. Then the tape holding the ball joint broke so I tried super glue but it didn't work. I found a clamp that helped. I use it but try not to let the camera slip because the sliders are broken.

They attach easily to the top rails of my steel bed frame and are almost invisible. Add some USB extension cords, a dozen or so dark-colored zip ties, and a Bada Bing. A strong gooseneck means you will bend it and stay in place. I love this purchase!

The true part of the gooseneck is thick, hard and heavy. It seems like it could easily accommodate a full-size camera (DSLR). Just for a webcam or microphone on a tripod, that's overkill. I wish it was light enough for travel; this is definitely not the case. I want it to be a little easier to reposition; but of course it's better that it stays in place than that it dangles. If you need something heavy and/or don't need to move it often, this is perfect.
