Eva Solo Dressing Shaker: Drip-Free and Convenient, 0.25 Liter Review

Nice addition to the dining table and I love seeing what salad dressings are through the glass top. Receives a lot of positive feedback from guests.

I was aware of the Eva Solo brand before I bought this product. Actually - I bought it because I was familiar with the brand. I'm happy? I assume I am. Looks beautiful on the table, especially when I have guests. Generally easy to open and use. Doesn't spill excess oil on the table. It does the job. However, I wish the glass was a little thicker as the shaker feels a little fragile when lifted.

Keeps clean well. All my other glasses got annoyingly dirty from the drip. I thought the $39 I paid for it was excessive. I've read that online stores are constantly changing their prices (every hour, etc.). I bought it in mid-December 2012. Perhaps the price was high because the demand for them as Christmas gifts allowed them to sell them at a higher price.

I love the design of this bottle - it's so much prettier to put salad dressing on the table. That's why I gave two stars and not one. He also worked for a time mixing dressing ingredients and shaking them to mix. Unfortunately the rubber seal/cork that attaches to the neck ripped and no longer closed the bottle (and I hand washed that part!). We threw it away and will not buy it again at the very high price it is now asking for.

Eva Solo toilet paper shaker is the FINEST dressing shaker I have ever seen for sale. As an added bonus, it actually does what it says on the tin - dispenses my vinaigrette absolutely drip-free. My only issue with this product (and why I deducted a star) is how fragile it feels. The glass is so thin, every time I have to remove the cork to fill it, I'm afraid it will break in my hands. I would not recommend this product to anyone who has children or does not want to take care of them.

So many salad dressing shakers try to do too much. They're covered in measurements or recipes, or have flimsy plastic kneading mechanisms or lids that can't be removed once greasy. Or flow. Update: Eva Solo's persistence and faith in functional design has paid off. I noticed oil leaking around the rubber stopper. I carefully cleaned and dried the cork, refilled the carafe and firmly reinserted the cork. No oil flows around them and the bandage can be shaken out perfectly. It's best to turn it upside down when dosing. Now we like it and we might buy another one. I love my Eva Solo carafes, teapots, coffee makers - I have a few that I love. I am very happy with this dressing shaker. I always make my own dressing and I usually have some left over and keep it in the fridge for later. I used to keep it in a cup or in a small bowl or in something else that isn't conducive to reserving.
