Review on Eva Solo Dressing Shaker: Drip-Free and Convenient, 0.25 Liter by Mike Bucher

Update - Eva Solo's love restored.

Update: Eva Solo's persistence and faith in functional design has paid off. I noticed oil leaking around the rubber stopper. I carefully cleaned and dried the cork, refilled the carafe and firmly reinserted the cork. No oil flows around them and the bandage can be shaken out perfectly. It's best to turn it upside down when dosing. Now we like it and we might buy another one. I love my Eva Solo carafes, teapots, coffee makers - I have a few that I love. This toilet carafe seemed like a real winner to me and we were delighted to receive it. The opening is wide enough to add and clean ingredients. We make our own easy salad dressing with butter, balsamic, and Dijon dressing. When I could NOT shake the bandage off the cork's ridiculously small spout, I pulled the cork out to pour it out. It's a disappointment every time. Terribly difficult to solve. I tossed in the minced garlic and made the dressing as thin as possible. No help. No water flows through this spout. For the price, a beautiful design doesn't make up for the functional flaws for us. I will buy a plain cork stopper to replace the spout. So now we have a bottle at a pretty ridiculous price, and I have to spend a few extra bucks to get a cork that fits well. Disappointing.
