I bought these for the four working headlights on the rear cab of my Peterbilt 389 (2019 but they will fit almost any 1156 socket in any truck year). I bought these to upgrade the stock taillights. (1156 bulbs). These new LED lights are actually too bright to turn on at night, so I also have to put on some blue lens caps to cool them down a bit. I would literally blind people trying to walk past me at night. Great value for money and I am completely satisfied with it.

I have an older (1985 GMC Vandurra) remodel that used this style of bulb in the overhead lights. Unfortunately, store-bought replacement bulbs had an extended lip that prevented full seating. I figured I'd take a chance because I needed the camouflage that red light would provide. It turns out they also have a pronounced rim that causes the same problem as replacement bulbs. Solution: The 60 grit sandpaper lip has been reduced and now works like a charm.

I love these bulbs, they look great and are easy to install as is any replacement bulb. They're nice and bright when the parking lights are on, which is great, but once the brake lights come on the brightness increases, but really not as much of a difference as I usually see. I can almost feel that the bottom parking light is a bit brighter than it should be. Overall I'm happy with them and they do what they're supposed to do, but it would be nice if there were more differences between the two…

Lamps worked. They were bought for my 2003 Harley Sportster 1200, both brake lights and turn signals. While the bulb could be plugged into my brake light socket (cat's eye taillight) and used, these bulbs cannot be used with standard Harley turn signals. This is because the lamps have a metal lip at the top of the base where it connects to the lamp assembly. I have an old 2005 Hyundai Tucson and a couple of the bulbs recently blew out. I have decided to replace all the bulbs with LEDs throughout the car as they are cheaper and I can order replacements cheaper than halogens from Pep Boys, Autozone, O'Reileys etc. I've noticed a big difference with some bulbs like LED headlights but with these 1156 amber bulbs they don't seem to have as much coverage as halogen bulbs. I wanted to reduce battery drain with the parking lights on and had to put them on a Hyundai Elantra. In parking light mode, they consume 0.015 A, so about 0.2 W, while a conventional lamp consumes 5-8 W depending on the type. So you draw MUCH less and the brightness is about the same.
