Some pros: Solid, good block, everything seems to work and there are no problems. Fully modular Cons below: Very tight wires. They ate everything in the ATX block. 6 HDDs had to be connected with 3 wires, as they did not bend, and the distances between sata cables are large and cannot be bent. A short processor cable, it’s nice not to let it go through the case from behind, I had to collect s from above.

EVGA delivering quality again

This is my second EVGA PSU, my first was a 600W 80+ Bronze in April 2016 and it's still running today, previously powering an overclocked 6700k and an overclocked GTX 1080Ti and still she has never let me down. However, I wanted an RTX 3090 and an R9 5900x, so it was time for an upgrade. So I got the EVGA 850W B5 and my temperatures have improved overall. For some reason almost all temperature sensors are 3-10 degrees colder. And my new EVGA power supply. Will be enough for my needs for the…

Works great: Computers and accessories

Always wanted a modular power supply, got this with my new build. Works perfectly. Very quiet. The motherboard cable is incredibly thick. But that's okay because if you get that, you'll likely get a cable management case on the back as well.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • No paint required

Not enough 10700k and rtx 3070!

I have a combo of Intel i7 10700k and MSI RTX 3070 Gaming x Trio. They're both pretty powerful, especially the GPU. The recommended wattage was 650 watts but I figured why the heck get an 850 just to be safe/upgradeable later. This power supply cannot reliably handle power surges, and sometimes running a game or GPU-accelerated performance application (Adobe products) will cause the system to reset. It doesn't happen every time, maybe a third of the time. I should have gone gold, not bronze…

Disgusting delivery.

It would be great but it wasn't sent to me in a box it was sent in bubble wrap, the packaging was open, the box was wrinkled and rattling. This rattle was a broken piece of plastic. After many power supplies I've had, I've dropped them several times and none of them broke! I'm not sure what injury the power pack sustained that could have caused this. Shipping in a box with some sort of seal would likely have prevented damage. Also 2 days late. I'm sure the power supply is still working, but I…

Stable work, enough and there is modularity. Wonderful.

Recently a Tesla K80 card was added to my system. I already had an i7-8700k and GTX 1080 so my previous 600w PSU needed to be replaced. I trust EVGA products based on my good experience with them. And this was no exception. I loaded my computer with work and had no problems. It's worth noting that my full load power is around 750W, but I overclock a bit and that gives me enough headroom for that. This is my first fully modular power supply and knowing how good it is I will never go back to it…

  • Powerful protections including OVP, UVP, OCP, OPP, SCP and OTP
Cons
  • Sad hardware

Fan not working *Update*

I recently put together a new desktop and it would crash and restart intermittently. I've been troubleshooting for weeks only to find that the fan on the PSU is not spinning. I figured since it's new it won't be a big deal. It still delivers power but can't handle the heat as the fan won't run and shuts down. Please see the attached video where you can see the fan is not spinning. It is very difficult for me to send this back to you. Please let me know how to return this for a different one or…
