Best performance on exhaust and emissions

We make many custom exhaust pipes, these clamps work very well and are very durable. A tip: make sure you apply some exhaust sealant to the pipes before you join them. It seals everything that the clamp doesn't compress.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Reliability

Works well on hangers, clamps and flanges

If you have one room, it's relatively easy to set up, but it doesn't work in all locations. It is better if the outer tube has a slit or two so that it can be crimped to the inner tube. Otherwise you may need a U clip.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons
  • The list will go on.

reconnected the halved 2 inch exhaust pipe

I have no complaints. I used this 2" clamp to connect two 2" sections of exhaust pipe under my 1998 Mustang. I have also used the same brand 3 inch version on my 1997 Firebird formula with no problems. These clamps are cheap and work well.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Low maintainability

Seems well made, worked well on Chevy Express panel van 03

I was concerned that the measurements might be a bit off as GM likes to go crazy with different pipe diameters in their poorly designed exhaust systems. . But he did replace a rusted and stuck exhaust yoke (although thanks to GM it's a Florida car) on a panel van. Would buy again.

Pros
  • Great overall specs
Cons
  • Secret

Insufficiently tightened pipes

Instead of U-shaped screws, I used these. Stick with U-bolts if you don't weld. I tightened them as they should and used exhaust paste to seal them. I was still able to turn the muffler by hand after the last one cured. Disassembled everything again due to some leaks and decided to weld it together. The only part I couldn't weld I replaced with cheaper U-bolts. I got rid of the vibrating noise I got from exhaust leaks.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Not satisfied with everything

Clamp not suitable for this application

I'm used to Harley Davidson exhaust clamps that make all round contact with the pipe when tightened. This clamp was supposed to be for 2.5" pipe and appears to be made of good materials but when fully tightened there was a huge air gap under the lag screw! See the attached photo for a clear view of the muffler. I use RTV sealant, which hardens when heated, and wrapped the pipe in several layers of aluminum to accommodate it, and used a U-clip behind it.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Late but looking good

I ordered two packs of two 2.5 inch clamps. I purposely wanted a width because it was for supporting anchors and not connecting pipes in a seam. I also wanted band clamps to keep the pipe from twisting underneath the clamp. The clamp band is a heavy construction and is perfect for my intended use. The hardware is regular steel, not stainless steel, but that's to be expected at a price, and stainless steel hardware has issues that wouldn't be ideal without extra knowledge and care. The delivery…

Pros
  • Best in niche

Installation can be tricky, but the hardware is top notch!

Key point: I was impressed as hell with the hardware used on this device! Being very familiar with working with cars and the force it took to actually clamp my sliding joint, I was certain the bolt or gore strip would break. It isn't and everything is holding up great, will be updated if it rusts or something else bad happens in the long run. See below for more details on my usage. The design of these clamps does not allow them to fit many exhaust pipe variations, so installation/sizing can be…

  • Easy to read control panel
