I fell in love with this stylish collar. I own a few classic and performance cars and live in Wisconsin, salty winters as hell. So I replaced all my exhaust systems with stainless steel. I found these clips and they are great. I now have the ability to remove pipe sections to access everything I need on that car or truck. Last time I used it to make it easier to remove the turbo downpipe from our Audi van. I will definitely use more in my future projects.

I bought these to replace my OEM V-clip downpipe which had lost its clamping ability over the past 19 years. It is not difficult to install if your car has a native exhaust. My new 5" exhaust stopped straightening once the yoke was removed. To fix this I positioned the exhaust pipe using a 2x4 jack and a rubber mallet. No leaks, tight fit for 3" pipe. I cut three bolts from the regular header headers and welded them to the headers and head pipe. Sealed and sealed to the Bell body and the chassis. got a second kit and half added it to make the exhaust pipes and remove them bit by bit and is great for removing for maintenance. I bought this v-band for the exhaust manifolds. A very well made clip for the price. The flanges are strong and heavy with well machined male/female connections. The sliding end of the tube is excellent for correctly positioning and welding the collar. The band feels a little thicker than other brands I've bought before and feels very durable. I've bought several different Revain V-Clamps and some of the cheaper versions usually don't have finished edges or are made out of plain cheap steel…

Flanges are excellent. I took quite a risk when I welded them, heated them a lot and they didn't warp. The only thing I don't like is the short bolt length. In order for the clamp to slide over the joint, the nut must be removed completely. Then to tighten the nut you need to squeeze the collar to expose the threads. Can be difficult to hold the exhaust with 3 hands. I have other V-clamps with longer studs and I can slide the clamp with the nut attached over the mated flanges and tighten…

Item received and quality seems good (which I think after using it). This was my first experience of welding a V assembly and a stainless steel exhaust assembly. My only complaint is that they don't seem to leave much meat on either side of the clamp to weld on there. I'm just an amateur welder so I'm sure experienced people might not have this problem. For that reason I didn't want to rate too harshly, but I felt that a less experienced welder might get into trouble trying to knock out welds…
