I don't often write reviews but I HAD to write a review for this product. In short, it works! I've been fighting some very territorial bees on my deck and it got to the point where sitting outside wasn't very comfortable anymore. Received this evening, added batteries and started the fight. Very loud click on contact. It doesn't kill carpenter bees, but it stuns them pretty well. It doesn't have a protective cover so you can take out larger bugs, but it's not safe for small children.

My out of town family has a big problem with non-native mosquitoes in their town so I bought several different brands and bats to test. My dad is WORKING to get his revenge on those virus-ridden assholes, and oddly enough, he enjoys seeing those bugs roasted. I bought a ZAP IT and they work great but I think they lose performance after a while. These bats make an audible buzz, and while mosquitoes may not hit metal where they will burn to death, they will fly, throw a choking electric current…

Most likely it will not work on small insects like fruit flies and mosquitoes. But it works great on flies and wasps. Doesn't always kill wasps, but stuns them long enough to be stepped on. The reason this model works so well is because there is no protective shielding on live wires. This allows small insects to easily slip through. The Zapper I also have is not as effective against large insects as the Executioner because it has a protective wire surface on both sides protecting the wire mesh…
