I bought this screed a while back because it looked clean and was a very good price. I held it for a while before trying it on. I wear tight but not tight ties and this tie bar was perfect for my needs. For example, at the correct position at the widest of my ties (6cm), the bar (5.6cm) doesn't go through the tie, but that's about as much as I need. A little more and the strip is too long for me. But like I said, this one is almost perfect. If I were being picky I'd like the bar to be closer to 5cm but I can live with 5.6. Excellent tie pin: simple, elegant and of good quality. I've received several compliments on it. It goes well with any tie be it solid color, striped, polka dot or whatever. If you want to add the finishing touch to a nice suit and tie, this clip is for you. If that's good enough for Don Draper, it's good enough for all of us.

The clip works well, I use it all the time on business trips. My only concern is that the area that "bites" the tie is not symmetrical. What I mean is that the clamp holds well but doesn't stay straight. The same metal stamping that acts like a spring, the same bit that bites the tie, and that area doesn't lie flat. I modified mine with needle nose pliers and it works great now.

I really liked this thing! I didn't expect it to last nearly as long! Because it was so cheap I figured it would break eventually and I'd just move on. but NO, it's been hanging here for almost 8 years now and I still wear it every now and then when I'm forced to dress up in a monkey costume. It has never failed me and still looks brand new, keep this tie sharp and straight.

I was very pleased with this product and it exceeded my expectations. The material is very high quality. I also like the little box that comes with it as it's a handy place to keep my rings and cufflinks. Definitely worth the money.

Just right, just what I wanted: basic, simple clean look, nothing fancy. Ideal. Slightly cheap quality but that's what I was looking for. Don't wear ties too often, but it will help you avoid looking sloppy on a windy day. The odd thing is that it comes in a very snazzy felt-lined box that almost looks more expensive than the clip itself. Hm.
