Works as intended. about reptiles and amphibians

This works as intended. It's nothing special, it works or it doesn't work. In this case it works for my purposes and is well made. I would recommend.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Blank

More than I expected

This is more than I expected. Overall happy with the purchase. Use in an aquarium with hermit crabs; one for water and one for food. Good quality, heavy, crabs can't tip or move it, it stays in place.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • For retirees

Large Sand Boa Water Bowl (Small)

We used a small plate as a water bowl for a small (approx 8-9 inch) Kenyan sand boa and it works great. Ideal for young/small snakes. Smooth, easy-to-clean surface. Pretty shallow so if you want depth this probably isn't the best dish for you. Cosmetically, the dish looks great in the habitat of desert species.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Faulty

Apparently not very good For water

I bought 2 such large plates, one for feeding turtles, the other for water. Yes they are easy to clean and although I wash them every day the water bowl now has a ring of mold in the rim of the plate which I can't remove it seeps into the plastic. Very sad. It had to be durable and designed for water. I bought it in April and it started about a month later so I couldn't return it. The bowl is great for eating as it is dry. Very annoying!

Pros
  • Useful not only for its intended purpose
Cons
  • No performance

Just the right depth and width

I quickly bought a cheap gray plastic water bowl for my frog and salamander at the local pet store. got it home. I wanted everything to look as natural as possible. The Exo Terra food bowl still looks a bit fake but much better than the other bowls. What I like the most is the shallow depth and large area, the perfect spot for my frog to just sit in the water and watch the mealy worm. It's a nice weight, so it stays in place even on a bed of cocoa beans. Very happy with the price and quality of
