Causes more headaches than it solves

I bought one of these network racks and I'm not impressed. I wanted to use shorter bar options due to size restrictions, but this was not possible due to very poor welds (see image). Since I was in a dilemma, I went ahead and just used a higher pair. Then, as I started building things into the shelf (after attaching it to the wall), I noticed that the holes in the right plank were pretty small, making it almost impossible to screw them in without enough force. Since I already had the unitโ€ฆ

Disagree: Computers and Accessories

I love TrippLite products but I would not buy this particular rack again. Try as I might, I couldn't get it right and I install these types of shelves a few times a month. It wasn't too bad, I couldn't put the unit on the shelf, but it was obvious when looking at it and trying to level the sides and top/bottom. bracket mounting. In general, she is too thin. In the future I will go for a fixed frame model that I have better luck with.

Sturdy for easy use

I was concerned about this rack's ability to support the weight of the NAS, UPS, switch and other equipment. I put the heavy bolts right into the studs as well as the plywood backing with a few extra bolts and so far it seems to be holding up well. I consciously chose gear that wasn't too heavy, went back several times and adjusted my requirements. What I love about this stance is that with my shots and cable runs, there's enough room in it (even in tight spaces) to step back and stand in it. I

Slim 8U rack but unkempt top/bottom 1U fit

Benefits: Slim 8U rack, with screws. Cons: The 8U device doesn't have diagonal side braces. As you can see from the photo (but I missed that detail), the top and bottom 1U space leaves a sloppy gap between the top and bottom bezels. Since a 1U panel cannot be mounted 1/3U higher, I need to find a different finish. The threaded holes on the face of the gear rack are not all machined correctly (burr). The frame is placed on the table.

excellent (but only with modifications)

When I first assembled this unit and installed about 40 pounds. the device jams badly. However, the wall brackets were strong and the vertical ones attached to the horizontal ones were distinctly indirect. The verticals attach to the horizontal with two small screws at each vertex. I was really concerned that the block would fail. However, I've found that extra diagonal supports between the horizontal and vertical worlds help keep it from sagging. I went to a big store and bought a 10" repairโ€ฆ

Great item for computer accessories and peripherals

I was a little concerned after reading the reviews (poor welds, can't support the weight of the gear) but noticed most of the critical ones were around 2013, which was the case does not appear to include a diagonal brace, which is now included in the product. I'm not sure, but I haven't seen any of the issues others mentioned years ago. Installation was pretty easy and the stand only took about 5 minutes. I chose the "deep" version as I had several network switches that were about 15 inchesโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Complete set
Cons
  • Easy repairability

It was the size I needed but it was typical Chinese crap! Fits - almost. Parts and holes were not machined properly. The deflection is enough for it not to move. The two holes on each end of the vertical bars matched in 6 of the 8 holes. The last two were "far enough off the line" that the screws were NOT inserted. So I had to take a drill and drill the top hole so the screws lined up with the threaded holes below. On the diagonal straps, 6 of the 8 screw holes worked perfectly. The last 2โ€ฆ

Very good device for my home network

Good device works great, looks good and I like the swivel function for easy access and cooling. I need more space around the corner, but I have it in a small dressing room. The template was a bit off, I used it to get a feel for the overall size, but I pre-drilled a hole. and first attached the lever(s) with a clamp screw (loosely), then I aligned the "A" frame and marked another drilling location through the holes in the frame. I also attached the frame to a half-inch piece of plywood that Iโ€ฆ

Not what I was hoping for.

I know Tripp Lite for their reputation for power protection products, so I had high hopes that their line of network racks would be moved - unfortunately it didn't happen, at least not for me. When I first saw the trademark fall off, I should have just stopped doing it. But after sorting the screws (I had to count them to determine which were which), I assembled what appeared to be a very weak and noticeably bowed frame.
