Broken on first use in spares

Large exhaust pipe extension broke on first use, a low carbon exhaust pipe extension was not completed. Not worth buying

Pros
  • Used to increase the length of the tube in equal proportions to keep the tube the same diameter and not narrow.
Cons
  • Clarity

It broke on the second use. I used a medium size and the collar broke.

Everything worked perfectly the first time and the stock could be lengthened if needed. The collar ripped the second time.

Cheap quality, definitely a return to the store. Also, there are no C-clamps on the shafts as shown in picture

If I didn't need it today and tomorrow for the exhaust work on the '89 Iroc Z, I would return it. You would think that after 50 years of working with cars and assembling engines I would be sane enough not to buy a three piece pipe expander kit for less than $40 and expect great quality. Photos tell a story. The case was cracked and dirty when received - definitely second hand. And the nut and thread grade is probably grade 5.
