Not Worth the Hype best in my review

This product was underwhelming. As my tests showed, the accuracy was lacking and inconsistent at best. The price tag feels unjustified for the unreliable readings it provides.

    Pros
    • None
    Cons
    • Inaccurate and overpriced.

    Great for high temperatures

I used this on a small iron smelting furnace to measure the temperature inside. Extek works great. It features a continuous scan mode that makes it easier to find hotspots and has an area large enough for you to take measurements without getting too close.

    Pros
    • High distance to target ratio of 50:1 measures smaller surface area at longer distances
    Cons
    • Not sure

    Thermometer works well

very good item works very well in all situations very accurate. 5 months of work without problems. You can switch Fahrenheit or Celsius easily. I also use it to take my baby's temperature just to check the accuracy compared to other mercury thermometers and it's perfect. I use it everywhere, for cooking, outdoors, in my shop.

    Pros
    • Type K thermocouple input -58 to 2498 degrees F (-50 to 1370 degrees C)
    Cons
    • No power
