🌧️ Extech MO25 Moisture Detector Pen Review

As a home inspector, I can't use my flat screen moisture meter in a confined space. This pen is small enough to get into hard-to-reach places and get moisture readings. I can put it in my tool bag and read it quickly when needed. The only thing that bothers me is that the protective cover is difficult to remove.

Works perfectly. The only problem I had was that the cap didn't fit on the opposite end of the pen when I was using the device. I'll probably end up losing my hat while crawling underground. How long does the open ended thing last? A cap must be put on to close the probes.

I bought it mainly for its compact size and decent price (not afterwards) but after 4 months of minimal and careful use the electronics broke down and became total unreliable. It's mostly plastic parts, but I figured it would last at least a year.
