I ordered this item which said it was new but when we received the packaging it was used, scratched and dirty. There was no instruction manual or guarantee.

I wanted the device to detect dry and wet soil with a strong clay soil probe. The probe is great but the reading is in %s and there is no chart/reference information on humidity. So 15% is wet or dry? I'm just a homeowner who needs help with my plants/garden.

I've tried several cheap devices with cheap results. This one is overpriced but works every time I use it. I am an avid gardener with 3 acres of diverse plantings. Using other devices and guesses failed. With this device I saved many times its cost by simply and accurately knowing the soil moisture. An example is I have a 20 foot Butterfly Maple in full sun.
